Secondary School Mandarin Teacher
Qualifications:
-
Native Mandarin speaker who holds a Bachelor’s degree/Master’s Degree related to the subject (having a teaching certification is preferred).

Has at least five (5) years of experience teaching the two different subjects at different levels:
-
IB DP Mandarin B (HL and SL)
-
IB DP Mandarin Ab Initio (HL and SL)
-
Cambridge International A Level Chinese (9715)
-
Language (8681) - Cambridge International AS Level Chinese
-
Cambridge IGCSE Chinese - Second Language (0523)
-
Chinese (Mandarin) - Foreign Language (0547)
-
Other Requirements:

Highly motivated to serve children, has in-depth knowledge of the subject, has ability to engage students, sets high standards for self and students.

Ready to take on the challenges of teaching, passionate in team building, and community-oriented.

Should be inclined with the IB/CAIE Philosophy and should be able to support the students to develop their skills.

Passionate on professional and personal growth to improve teaching practices, preparing up-to-date teaching resources and instructional materials using a variety of teaching methods to increase students joy and success of learning.

Demonstrate an understanding of interdisciplinary teaching and learning.

Continuously monitor student learning and make appropriate modifications of goals, strategies and content when necessary to meet students’ needs.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of student progress and attendance. Has experience in handling VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) tool preferred, such as ManageBac, Edmodo, Moodle.

Engage parents and students in the learning process through frequent and meaningful communication about student’s progress.

Be available to parents and students during and outside of school hours if needed.

Demonstrates independence, enthusiastic about sharing professional practices, ability to work as part of a proactive team member.

Understands, respects, and appreciates diverse cultures, a sense of global stewardship and responsibility

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
