School Calendar

Sekolah Global Indo-Asia (SGIA) was founded in 1998 to serve the educational needs of the children of the national and international community living in and around Batam, Indonesia. 

 

        Today, SGIA accepts students from Pre-School through the 12th Grade. It is a caring, secure environment in which students can develop their skills, confidence and creativity that will help them succeed academically.

SGIA is the only International Baccalaureate World School in Batam offering the PYP (Primary Years Programme), DP (Diploma Programme) and authorized as a Cambridge International Examinations School.

 

        English is the medium of instruction in our school. We also offer support of the mother tongue Bahasa Indonesia as well as Mandarin to prepare them to be competitive in the global market. 

 

        Sekolah Global Indo-Asia (SGIA) places the students at the centre of the teaching-learning process, embraces the diversity of its students, parents, teachers and non-teaching staff and explores the opportunities to respect and learn from a variety of cultures, attitudes, beliefs and experiences. It aims to provide a comprehensive and balanced programme that focuses on acquiring a wide range of significant knowledge, developing essential skills, fostering positive attitudes and providing opportunities towards service and love for humankind.
